How Are Restylane Injections Performed?

The treatment is injected into your skin through a fine-gauge needle and gently massaged to reach the needed areas. Multiple injections will be required, followed by a cold compress to decrease inflammation. Each Restylane filler is injected with the same technique but in different regions and treated according to your specific concerns and aesthetic goals.
What Should I Expect after Restylane?
When your Restylane treatment is complete, you can return to work. Your recovery time will vary depending on what is being treated, so ask your injector what you should expect. The injection areas may appear slightly red and swollen, but this usually fades away after several hours. Bruising may occur, but this can usually be concealed with cosmetics. It is recommended that you avoid strenuous activity for 1 – 2 days, and you should sleep upright for at least the first night.
