Dr. Ojong earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and completed her dermatology residency training before pursuing additional board certification in Mohs micrographic surgery. Your surgeon examines tissue one layer at a time during the procedure, which allows for complete cancer removal while preserving as much healthy skin as possible. Mohs surgery is typically recommended for basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, especially when the cancer is located on the face, ears, hands, or other cosmetically sensitive areas. Dr. Ojong is a board-certified Mohs surgeon and performs the entire procedure in our Woodlands office.
