What Is a Collagen booster?
These days, there are several injectable wrinkle treatments on the market for you to consider to get a more youthful, refreshed appearance. The Collagen booster dermal filler offered by dermatologist and Mohs surgeon Dr. Oben Blair Ojong is terrific for mild and moderate wrinkles and lines throughout the face and for correcting volume loss in the hands. Patients who don't have much time for repeat touch-ups love the lasting results (1 – 2 years) of Collagen boosters. With microspheres of calcium hydroxyapatite in a water-based gel, this injectable fills and smooths the appearance of your skin without invasive surgery. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Collagen boosters to safely and effectively volumize your facial features. It may be used in tandem with other injectable treatments (wrinkle relaxers and fillers) for a custom procedure that restores your skin. Look younger and boost your self-image with Collagen booster injectable wrinkle treatments at Rêve Dermatology and Aesthetics in The Woodlands, TX.
How Is a Collagen Booster Performed?
After your consultation, Collagen booster wrinkle injections are performed in one of the treatment rooms at Rêve Dermatology and Aesthetics, which take around 30 – 60 minutes to complete. To start the procedure, you will be seated comfortably while the injection sites are cleaned and marked. Many patients feel tolerable discomfort during the treatment, but if requested, a numbing agent can be spread on the treatment sites. The dosage of Collagen booster, chosen during your personalized treatment planning session, will be prepared in a fine needle. The marked injection site will help guide the injector to administer Collagen booster into the skin carefully. After the procedure, a compress can be held to the treated areas to minimize swelling and bruising.
What to Expect After Collagen booster Treatment
After your Collagen booster treatment, you may have slight swelling, bruising, and redness. This is normal and should last for around a week. These side effects may usually be concealed with makeup. If the side effects last longer or seem excessive, please contact Rêve Dermatology and Aesthetics. Most patients see some results minutes after the treatment, with final results developing in a month or so. Your face should look younger and softer and have a natural glow. Collagen booster tends to last longer than some of the other fillers — up to 1 – 2 years. During your appointment, you can talk to Dr. Ojong about how soon to schedule your next treatment to maintain your results.
What Are the Benefits of Collagen booster?
If you are interested in fighting the signs of aging rather than the upkeep of specific different filler treatments, Collagen booster may be right for you. For our The Woodlands, TX patients attracted to longer-term injectable options, Collagen booster can be an amazing aesthetic solution, offering benefits, such as:
- Smoothing out creases and folds
- Results you could be satisfied with for a year or longer
- Magnifying your self-confidence

Extremely good. Very nice facility, friendly staff. Arrived early, saw Dr. Ojong early, everything went very smooth.
Very on time and let me say this - the Receptionist was beautiful, then I get back to the room and the nurse was beautiful....then the Doctor comes in and she was the most beautiful girl of them all!All kidding aside, very punctual and professional....but you might feel a bit ugly when you roll into this world of beautiful women.
I made an appointment with Doctor Reve for a mole check. The entire office staff was friendly and competent. The doctor was attentive to my needs; I will return for an annual check up next year!
Pretty office front desk was very nice and Ma was great but the doctor had me wait an hour after my appointment time definitely was not happy about that . She didn’t bother saying sorry for the wait.

Am I a Candidate for a Collagen booster?
Adults who are in good health and have mild to moderate wrinkles and lines are the best candidates for Collagen booster injectable treatments. It can improve marionette lines, smile lines, chin wrinkles, pre-jowl folds, and fine lines in the corners of the lips. Collagen booster is also safe to correct age-related volume loss in the hands to help them appear fuller and younger looking. You should not have this treatment if you have an allergy to lidocaine or other ingredients in Collagen booster. Make sure to inform Dr. Ojong about any allergies (whether mild or severe) and any medical conditions or disorders. If you are breastfeeding, pregnant, may be pregnant, or are trying to conceive within 1 – 2 years, you shouldn't get Collagen booster injections.
Collagen booster FAQ
How does collagen booster filler compare to other fillers?
Dermal fillers all have different formulas and properties to address a wide range of concerns. Common fillers are made of hyaluronic acid (HA), CaHa (calcium hydroxyapatite), poly-L-lactic acid, and polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA). The collagen booster filler we utilize is composed of calcium-based microspheres, which are comparable to HA injectable fillers in the way it helps to stimulate the natural production of collagen. In your initial consultation, we will discuss the different fillers and assess your skin's laxity, tone, and volume to recommend which one is correct for you.
Are collagen booster injections painful?
Usually, patients don't need local anesthesia prior to their injection treatment. However, a local anesthetic can be applied to make you feel more comfortable. New patients experience brief and minor discomfort when the needle pierces the skin.
How much does collagen booster filler cost?
The cost of collagen booster filler is dependent on the number of syringes to achieve your goals. During your initial consultation at our practice, we will listen to your concerns and goals, then they can develop your personalized treatment plan. After this, they can talk about your potential costs and payment options.
