What Are Chemical Peels?
To provide the highest quality results from chemical peel facial treatments, Rêve Dermatology and Aesthetics provides you with numerous choices. Your professional facial treatment with chemical solutions (such as glycolic, salicylic, trichloroacetic, and lactic acids) will give you more radiant skin. At our office in The Woodlands, TX, Dr. Oben Blair Ojong offers chemical peel treatments that help to remove skin irregularities, such as scars, wrinkles, fine lines, rough patches, hyperpigmentation problems, and more. Chemical peels eliminate dead or damaged skin cells with a personalized peel on your skin that causes the upper layer to peel off. You will notice a clearer, smoother complexion as your skin heals, rejuvenates, and repairs. A chemical peel facial is a noninvasive way to make your skin bright and is used for the face and neck.
How Are Chemical Peels Performed?
When you come for your appointment at Rêve Dermatology and Aesthetics, we will have you lying in a relaxed position to administer your peel. We will ensure your skin is cleaned before applying the customized solution to your treatment areas. We will spread the solution onto your face and allow it to work for a specific length of time that will be determined in your treatment planning session. Finally, we will clean the solution off your face and apply a neutralizing agent. You may want to bring light sunscreen and/or a hat to wear outside following the treatment to protect against UV exposure.
What Are the Benefits of Chemical Peels?
Depending on the intensity of the chemical peel, you may find a number of these advantages from your procedure at Rêve Dermatology and Aesthetics:
- Balanced and neutral complexion
- Moisturized, rejuvenated skin texture
- Lessening of wrinkles and age signs
- Shrinkage of pores and other skin flaws
Rêve Dermatology and Aesthetics Reviews
Everyone in the office is super friendly and helpful. Dr. Ojong is amazing. I came in for a skin biopsy and was in and out in 30 minutes. She explained everything she was doing to ease my anxiety with the process. Will definitely be coming back for any of my dermatology needs!
Great service, Doctor Ojong really listened to to our concerns and needs, she found the right plan to move forward with. Great results have followed!
Blown away by the staff and doctor. Dr. Ojong is very approachable, genuinely kind, unassuming and humble. She provided me options for my treatment and completed my procedure quickly and painlessly. My issue has resolved as she predicted. Her Medical Assistant was also very friendly, and awesome at her job. She’s a fully licensed Nurse (RN) which is way more qualified than most doctor’s staff. If your skin has medical needs, and you don’t give Dr. Ojong a try, you’ll be missing out.

Chemical Peels FAQ
How much does a chemical peel cost?
During your consultation, Dr. Ojong will help you decide on a customized treatment plan before going over costs. The cost of a chemical peel can vary based on the depth of your treatment. Rêve Dermatology and Aesthetics accepts a variety of payment methods, and we invite you to ask about current specials or package deals to save money on your aesthetic treatment.
What level should I choose for my chemical peel?
The answer to this depends on your specific skin care needs and cosmetic goals. A few factors you may want to consider are your overall health, the type of skin you have, the depth of your skin concerns, the time you can commit to recovery, and what you want the peel to accomplish. For your first peel, it's better to select a light chemical peel and see how you like the results. After this, you and Dr. Ojong can tweak your treatment plan to discover the best chemical peel level for your needs.
Do chemical peels hurt?
You might notice some mild discomfort during your treatment if you're undergoing a more extensive peel. If you have a light peel, you will probably experience some stinging; however, this goes away quickly with a small fan. Medium and deep peels are good for deeper skin problems and longer-lasting results, but they typically are more uncomfortable. Topical anesthetics, medications, and soothing ointments may be used to help you feel more comfortable during the chemical peel.
Can I combine my chemical peel with other treatments?
Many patients at Rêve Dermatology and Aesthetics pair their chemical peel with other skin treatments to yield even better results. During your consultation, talk with Dr. Ojong about any issues you want to address so she can create a personalized treatment plan for you. We offer a wide selection of popular skin care treatments at our office, including dermal fillers, wrinkle relaxers, and more.
